Strategic Leader Accelerator Mentoring (SLAM)

Program Overview  

The SLAM program curriculum is a transformative 12-week journey aimed at enhancing leadership through self-awareness, strategic thinking, and effective action. Structured into three core pillars, the curriculum is designed to develop leaders who are self-aware, strategically adept, and consistently impactful.

This curriculum follows SLAM’s Three-Step System:

  1. Self-Awareness and Personal Mastery: Focusing on internal growth and alignment.
  2. Strategic Thinking and Decision-Making: Enhancing decision-making skills and long-term thinking.
  3. Leadership in Action and Continuous Improvement: Applying insights to inspire and lead teams effectively.

Each week builds toward developing leaders who are self-aware, strategically adept, and consistently impactful.

 Program Structure:

 Weeks 1-4: Foundations of Self-Awareness and Emotional Intelligence

Week 1: Foundations of Leadership  

Focus: Understanding authentic leadership, differentiating it from management, and emphasizing integrity and alignment of values.  

Key Concepts: Inward-outward approach to leadership, influence through vision and responsibility.

Week 2: The Primal Circle – Self-Awareness and Emotional Intelligence  

Focus: Exploring personal values and emotional intelligence as core elements of leadership.  

Key Concepts: Building self-awareness, empathy, and self-regulation for trust and communication.

Week 3: The Consciousness Circle – From Observation to Strategy  

Focus: Enhancing awareness of team dynamics and organizational culture to align personal leadership with broader goals.  

Key Concepts: Empathy-driven strategic alignment, perception’s impact on decision-making.

Week 4: The Action Circle – Bridging Values and Practice  

Focus: Translating leadership philosophy into consistent, effective actions.  

Key Concepts: Aligning values with day-to-day leadership practices, ensuring integrity in execution.

 Weeks 5-8: Strategic Planning and Execution 

Week 5: Introduction to Strategy – The Leadership Rocket  

Focus: Connecting leadership vision with strategic planning.  

Key Concepts: Leadership Rocket (vision, strategy, execution), Strategic Pyramid (vision, mission, goals, tasks).

Week 6: The Methodical Approach to Strategic Planning  

Focus: Developing a cohesive, adaptable strategic plan.  

Key Concepts: Logical structure in planning, Strategic Pyramid, ensuring clear vision-to-execution road-map.

Week 7: The Methodical Approach to Strategic Execution  

Focus: Executing strategic plans with delegation, task evaluation, and progress measurement.  

Key Concepts: Strategic Integration Model, I.F.M. (Integrated Feedback Matrix), Boxes Method for task prioritization.

Week 8: Risks and Opportunities in Strategic Execution  

Focus: Identifying and navigating risks and opportunities in execution.  

Key Concepts: S.P.R. (Strategic Planning Reconstruction), Negative Inertia, The Strategic Leadership Cycle.

 Weeks 9-12: Leadership in Action and Continuous Improvement

Week 9: Structured Decision-Making  

Focus: Utilizing structured frameworks for strategic decision-making.  

Key Concepts: O.P.R. (Observe, Participate, Reflect), Decision-Making Table, the Methodical Approach In Decision-Making,  Assessing Organizational Resilience And Alignment.

Week 10: Practical Implementations of Methods and Concepts  

Focus: Applying SLAM models and frameworks to foster a resilient organizational culture.  

Key Concepts: Commitment Matrix, Intentional Time Allocation, Structured Feedback With I.F.M..

Week 11: Leading by Example – The Transformative Power  

Focus: The power of leading by example, fostering trust and cultural alignment.  

Key Concepts: Ripple Effect, essential leadership qualities (integrity, resilience, empathy).

Week 12: Program Reflection and Future Leadership Goals  

Focus: Reflection on SLAM insights, refining personal leadership philosophy, and setting future goals for growth.  

Key Concepts: Continuous improvement, adaptability, strategic goal alignment.

  • Primal, Consciousness, Action Circles and Leadership Roles: Foundational frameworks for self-awareness, empathy, and actionable leadership.
  • Leadership Rocket and Strategic Pyramid and the Linear Approach: Models linking vision to structured Strategic Planning and Execution.
